Description
Maestro is a Gibson-owned effects pedal brand founded in 1962, recognized as the creator of the first commercially successful guitar effects pedal, the FZ-1 Fuzz-Tone. The brand ceased production in 1979 but was revived by Gibson in 2022 with a new lineup of all-analog stompboxes. It is historically credited as the 'Founder of Effects,' having also spawned innovations by Tom Oberheim and Robert Moog during its original run.
