▸Do I need an account to search?
No. The full search index — every component, every PCB, and every bill of materials — is publicly browsable without an account.
▸What does a free account add?
A free account adds Favorites and a shopping cart that aggregates a combined bill of materials across multiple PCB projects.
▸Where does the catalog data come from?
Public PCB project documentation — PedalPCB, AION FX, Madbean, and others. Every BOM line is mapped to a normalized component record so you can search and compare across projects.
Premium & billing
▸What is Premium, and what does it cost?
Premium adds real-world tracking: an inventory of the parts and blank PCBs you own, “what can I build right now?” search, cart-vs-inventory shopping lists, and per-build status tracking. It’s $5 per month or $45 per year (about $3.75 a month — the best value). Both plans include exactly the same features.
▸How do I subscribe?
Sign in, open the Upgrade page, choose monthly or annual, and complete checkout securely through Stripe.
▸How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Open your Account settings, go to the Account tab, and choose “Manage billing.” That opens Stripe’s secure customer portal, where you can cancel, update your payment method, download invoices, and switch plans.
▸Can I switch between monthly and annual?
Yes. In “Manage billing,” choose the other plan. The change is prorated, so you’re credited or charged only the difference.
▸What happens when I cancel?
You keep Premium until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. After that, your account simply returns to the free tier. You can cancel anytime.
▸What happens to my inventory and builds if my Premium lapses?
Nothing is deleted. All of your inventory and build data is kept — you just won’t have access to the Premium features that use it until you resubscribe, which you can do at any time. Everything will be waiting for you.
▸What if a payment fails?
We retry the payment for a few days, and you keep Premium during that grace period — just update your card under “Manage billing.” If the payment still can’t be collected, the subscription ends and your account returns to the free tier.
▸Do you offer refunds?
We don’t offer refunds for partial periods. You can cancel anytime and keep access through the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
▸Will I get a receipt?
Yes — Stripe emails a receipt for each payment, and all of your invoices are available anytime under “Manage billing.”
▸Is my payment information safe?
Payments are processed entirely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment provider. We never see or store your card number.
