Based on the ProCo RAT Distortion, one of the most enduring and versatile dirt boxes ever made — a fixture on boards from jazz to metal since the late '70s. The LM308 op-amp core delivers that distinctive hard-clipping grind with a wide gain range and a filter sweep that goes from scooped to woolly. Rattus rattus is a fitting name for a circuit this relentlessly adaptable.
