Base pedal: Fulltone Secret Freq
The Fulltone Secret Freq was a two-stage distortion that blended MOSFET and op-amp clipping for a layered, harmonically dense sound somewhere between a pushed amp and a heavy distortion box. Compared to it, the Arcana Distortion offers that same rich, complex gain structure at DIY cost, without relying on Fulltone's now-discontinued production.
