The BOSS SD-2 Dual Overdrive is a mid-1990s Japanese pedal offering two distinct channels — a smooth, bluesy Lead mode and a tighter Crunch mode — that never quite got the recognition it deserved during its production run. The Admiral Crunch is a chance to build that underappreciated dual-voice circuit without the hunt for a used original.
