Based on the Jordan Electronics Bosstone, a germanium/silicon fuzz from the late 1960s that carved out its own ragged, sputtery corner of the fuzz universe. The Bosstone's gated, compressed character sits somewhere between a buzzing transistor fuzz and a dying-battery splat, and original units are genuinely rare on the vintage market — making this build a smart way to chase that sound without hunting down a museum piece.
