Compared to the D*A*M Zonk Machine, a hand-built British recreation of the ultra-rare Sola Sound Zonk Machine — a three-transistor silicon fuzz from the mid-'60s with a splatty, aggressive bite quite distinct from its Tone Bender cousins. D*A*M originals are boutique collectibles; this build brings that gnarly, cutting fuzz within reach of any builder.
