Base pedal: Cornish SS-2
Compared to the Cornish SS-2, one of Pete Cornish's hand-built British pedals — crafted in small numbers for major touring acts and priced accordingly. The SS-2 is known for a smooth, harmonically rich distortion that retains clarity at high gain, and with original units essentially inaccessible to most players, a DIY build is the realistic path to that tone.
