Based on the Vemuram Jan Ray, a boutique transparent overdrive hand-built in Japan and famously associated with John Mayer's clean-to-just-breaking-up tone. Originals sell for several hundred dollars and are notoriously hard to source, making this clone a compelling way to chase that glassy, touch-sensitive push.
