The BOSS FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz is a mid-'90s oddity that combined a boost stage with two brutal fuzz modes — a favorite for its over-the-top harmonic density and wall-of-sound texture. This build targets the Hyped Boost side of the FZ-2's circuit, a preamp/boost that became sought after on its own merits after the original was discontinued.
