Description

Systems & Technology in Music, Inc. (Systech) was a guitar effects pedal manufacturer based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, founded by Greg Hockman (a synthesizer technician associated with Robert Moog) in collaboration with Charlie Wicks. Active during the 1970s, the company produced innovative effects including the Phase Shifter, Flanger, Overdrive, and the acclaimed Harmonic Energizer — a filter/distortion pedal favored by Frank Zappa, Joe Walsh, and others. By 1979 the company had ceased operations and its assets were sold at auction.
