Sunn Musical Equipment Corp.

Sunn Musical Equipment Corp. (originally Sunn Musical Equipment Company) was founded in 1965 in Tualatin, Oregon, USA by brothers Conrad and Norm Sundholm, who built high-powered tube amplifiers for concert-level use, attracting endorsers such as Jimi Hendrix, The Who, and Kurt Cobain. The brand was acquired by Fender and discontinued in 2002. In 2023, a new group of music and electronics industry executives licensed the Sunn name from Fender and reformed Sunn Musical Equipment Corp., relaunching historic and modern amplifier product lines.
