Snake Oil Fine Instruments

Snake Oil Fine Instruments is a British boutique guitar effects pedal brand launched in January 2019 as a sibling brand to Chapman Guitars, founded by Rob Chapman and Lee Anderton. The brand was inspired by a viewer's accusation that the pair were 'snake oil salesmen' on their YouTube channel, which they embraced to create a line of UK-manufactured pedals with Victorian-era marketing aesthetics. Their debut products, 'The Very Thing' (boost) and 'The Marvellous Engine' (distortion), were designed in collaboration with Mythos Pedals founder Zach Broyles and debuted at the 2019 NAMM Show.
