Selmer

Selmer UK was the British branch of the Henri Selmer Paris instrument company, established in 1928 in London. During the 1960s and early 1970s it was one of the most prominent names in the UK music industry, producing guitar amplifiers (such as the iconic Treble 'n' Bass series) and a small range of effects pedals including the Buzz Tone fuzz (1966) and Fuzz-Wah (1968), while also distributing guitars by Fender, Gibson, and Höfner. After changing hands multiple times through the 1970s, amp production ceased in the early 1980s and the Selmer UK operation was fully wound down.
