Randall Amplifiers was founded in 1970 by Don Randall — a former vice president and general manager of Fender's CBS divisions — in Irvine, California, with an initial focus on solid-state, FET-based guitar amplifier circuits rather than vacuum tubes. The brand became iconic in hard rock and metal circles through endorsements from artists such as Dimebag Darrell and Kirk Hammett, and has expanded its product line to include effect pedals such as the Facepunch overdrive, MOR boost, and RGOD preamp pedal. Randall Amplifiers is currently a brand of U.S. Music Corp., a subsidiary of the Canadian corporate group Exertis | JAM.
