Proco Sound

Pro Co Sound is a Michigan-based professional audio manufacturer founded in 1974 by Charlie Wicks, originally focused on cables and loudspeakers before expanding into guitar effects. The company is best known for the RAT distortion pedal, developed in 1978, which became one of the best-selling guitar effects pedals of all time. Pro Co Sound was later acquired by RHC Holding Corporation and continues to produce a broad range of pro audio products including cables, snakes, direct boxes, and Dante-compatible digital audio systems.
