Description
Mosrite of California was an American guitar manufacturing company founded in 1956 by Semie Moseley and his brother Andy, with backing from Reverend Ray Boatright, and headquartered in Bakersfield, California. The company became renowned for its innovative double-cutaway designs, hot high-output pickups, and the iconic Ventures Model, making it a staple of surf rock, country, and punk music. Mosrite went through multiple bankruptcies and relocations before production ceased in 1994 following Semie Moseley's death in 1992; its current ownership and active status remain uncertain.
