Mesa/Boogie

Mesa/Boogie (also known as Mesa Engineering) is an American manufacturer of guitar and bass amplifiers founded in 1969 by Randall Smith in California, and headquartered in Petaluma, CA. The company pioneered high-gain amplifier technology and is widely regarded as the first boutique amplifier builder, known for iconic product lines such as the Mark Series and Dual/Triple Rectifier. In January 2021, Mesa/Boogie was acquired by Gibson Brands, though it continues to hand-build its amplifiers and pedals in Petaluma.
