Marshall Amplification is a British company founded in 1962 by Jim Marshall in London, England, that designs and manufactures guitar amplifiers, speaker cabinets, effects pedals, and related audio equipment. Headquartered in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, the company became iconic for defining the sound of rock music, with legendary artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and Pete Townshend among its early adopters. Since 2023, Marshall Amplification has operated as a division of the Marshall Group, a majority stake of which is owned by China-based HongShan Capital Group.
