Description
Lab Series was a line of solid-state guitar, bass, and keyboard amplifiers developed in the late 1970s by Norlin (the parent company of Gibson) in collaboration with Moog. Initial design work began around 1976, with the first amplifiers shipping in 1978; the line included models such as the L5, L7, L9, and L11. Production wound down in the early 1980s after Norlin cut engineering staff in 1979, and the brand never re-emerged as an active manufacturer.
