Hiwatt

Hiwatt is a British manufacturer of electric guitar and bass amplifiers, founded in the mid-1960s by Dave Reeves under the Hylight Electronics company (registered September 1966) in Surrey, England. Known for military-specification hand-wired construction, exceptional clean headroom, and durability, Hiwatt amps were famously used by artists such as David Gilmour, Pete Townshend, and the Rolling Stones. After Reeves' death in 1981 the brand passed through several ownership changes and continues to produce amplifiers in the UK today.
