HAO (also styled H.A.O.) is a Japanese boutique guitar effects pedal manufacturer known for handbuilding each unit with high-quality components. The brand gained a strong following among Japan's professional guitarists, and its pedals — including the Rust Driver, Rust Booster, and Sole Pressure — are prized for their amp-like tonal character and meticulous construction. HAO pedals are rare outside of Japan and are considered collectible boutique items.
