Frantone Electronics is an American boutique guitar effects pedal manufacturer founded in 1994 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania by self-taught electronic engineer Fran Blanche, and currently based in Philadelphia. The company is considered one of the world's first boutique guitar effects companies, producing entirely hand-built, original analog pedal designs. Its pedals have been used by notable artists including Lou Reed and R.E.M.; as of 2021, Fran Blanche announced she would no longer manufacture pedals herself but remains open to licensing.
