Electra

Electra was a brand of electric guitars, basses, and effects pedals manufactured in Japan and distributed in the US by Saint Louis Music (SLM) and Pacific Coast Music from 1971 to 1984. The brand is notable for its 1976 Modular Powered Circuit (MPC) system, which embedded swappable onboard effects cartridges directly into the guitar body. The trademark was revived in 2013 when former Dean Guitars head luthier Ben Chafin acquired the rights and relaunched the brand from Tampa, Florida.
