Description
DOD Electronics is an American guitar effects pedal manufacturer founded in 1974 in Salt Lake City, Utah by David Oreste DiFrancesco (whose initials give the brand its name) and musician John Johnson. Over its 50-year history the company introduced iconic pedal lines such as the Overdrive Preamp 250 and Phasor 201, later spawning the DigiTech brand for digital effects. After being sold to Harman International in 1990–1991 and subsequently to Samsung, DOD and DigiTech were acquired in April 2022 by Cor-Tek Corporation, the parent company of Cort Guitars, and relaunched with new and reissued pedals.
