Colorsound

Colorsound is a British guitar effects pedal brand created in 1967 by brothers Larry and Joe Macari in London, with pedals manufactured by their sister company Sola Sound and sold through Macari's Musical Exchange on Denmark Street, Soho. The name derived from the concept of housing each effect type in a distinctively colored enclosure, and key designer Gary Hurst created iconic circuits including the Power Boost and the Tone Bender fuzz. The brand helped define the sound of 1960s and 1970s British rock, with notable users including David Gilmour, Jimmy Page, and Jeff Beck; reissues continue to be produced and sold by Macari's.
