Description
BOSS is a Japanese manufacturer of effects pedals for electric guitar and bass guitar, operating as a division of the Roland Corporation. Founded in 1973 and headquartered in Hamamatsu, Japan, BOSS pioneered the compact stompbox format and has produced a world-leading lineup including compact and multi-effects pedals, tuners, rhythm machines, and amplifiers. The BOSS Corporation was absorbed into Roland in 2018, but the BOSS brand remains fully active.
