Blackout Effectors

Blackout Effectors was a boutique guitar effects pedal company founded by Kyle Tompkins in 2008 in Vancouver, British Columbia, before relocating to Asheville, North Carolina in 2009. The company produced handmade fuzz, overdrive, reverb, and phaser pedals — most notably the Musket Fuzz — earning a following among artists such as Robin Finck, Baroness, Wilco, and Animal Collective. Production ceased around 2019, though its pedals remain sought after on the used market.
