Description
Baldwin-Burns Ltd was the UK subsidiary formed in 1965 when the American Baldwin Piano & Organ Company acquired Ormston Burns Ltd (Burns London), a British guitar and instrument manufacturer founded in 1959 by luthier Jim Burns. Operating from England, the merged entity produced electric guitars, amplifiers, and a small number of guitar effects pedals — most notably the Buzzaround fuzz pedal — between approximately 1965 and 1970. Baldwin ceased guitar production in 1970, bringing the Baldwin-Burns operation to a close.
