Amptweaker

Amptweaker is a U.S.-based guitar and bass effects pedal company founded in 2009 by amp design engineer James Brown, who previously designed amplifiers for Peavey (including the iconic 5150) and served as Chief Engineer at Kustom Amps. The brand is known for its high-gain overdrive, distortion, and fuzz pedals built around consumer-driven designs, and was acquired by Alpha Distribution around 2020 after Brown departed to join Fender's EVH Amplifier division. Amptweaker continues to operate as an active brand under the Amptweaker, LLC entity.
